jazzheadchronic is dj mickey smith, a pioneering dj, producer and music promoter. he also works as a writer for film & television (running his own studios) and is a multi award winning art director + graphic designer. finally.....he is both creative director of tribal broadcast records and executive creative director of the chronic love foundation (clf).
as digital sound scientist and dj, mickey has been dropping it hard and eclectic since 1992 and now produces his own unique 'solo' music projects under the apt moniker of jazzheadchronic. he is also one half of live acousti-lectric band the culture chronices formed in 2003. dropping it on decks, efx + live sampler n' kaoss alongside musical partner the godfather of live drum & bass, arranger, producer and drummer marque gilmore, the innamost on acousti-lectric drums, live logic, emu and efx, pushing the boundaries of Live digi-acousti-lectric science and bass driven frequencies beyond the 21st century. a nu kinda tribalistic funk dropped at 200 bpm, live...!
